Fusion Growth Labs appoints Co-Founder Yazz Krishna as Entrepreneur-in-Residence to lead Digital Health Lab

BRISBANE, Tuesday 14 October 2025

Fusion Growth Labs has announced the appointment of its Co-Founder and multi-time digital health entrepreneur Yazz Krishna as Entrepreneur-in-Residence to lead the launch of its first Digital Health Growth Lab.

Following the successful debut of Fusion’s Cybersecurity Lab, this second industry-led venture program will focus on one of healthcare’s well known, and unresolved challenges, patient sitting and contextual monitoring of the in-patient. The Lab is being developed in collaboration with a major Queensland Health Hospital and Health Service, with clinicians and operators directly shaping the problem statement (formal announcement coming soon).

Krishna is a serial entrepreneur, whose last venture grew into a multinational platform before being selected to power the mass vaccination rollout across key Australian regions, as well as being the key systems for  COVID management across national public infrastructure (hospitals, airports and critical accommodation services), brings deep experience at the intersection of enterprise health, commercialisation in regulated and high risk contexts, and data privacy.

As an independent consultant and passionate entrepreneur, Krishna also delivers programs with the University of Queensland, supporting the next generation of high-growth ventures through its Momentum accelerator, and mentors a range of founders in the ecosystem.

“Hospitals need an integrated, trusted pathway from contextual monitoring to predictive insight to help reduce the pressure on hospital staff whilst increasing patient care and experience, and with the unfortunate increase in patient violence against clinicians and nursing staff, support a safer workplace for hospital staff” said Krishna.

The Digital Health Lab will unite industry partners, sensor innovators, and researchers to tackle this multifaceted challenge across multiple horizons, with the time to value for the hospital expected to occur within the first three months.

“The problem we’re addressing is broad, complex, and globally relevant,” said Krishna. “By aligning hospital partners, innovators, researchers, and investors around a single, validated pathway, we’re creating a model that accelerates both innovation and adoption.”

James Skinner, Co-Founder of Fusion Growth Labs, said:

“With the Digital Health Lab, we’re building a repeatable, sovereign pathway from validated hospital pain points to investable, scalable products with urgent global demand. Yazz’s blend of entrepreneurial grit, enterprise delivery, and digital health experience is exactly what this next frontier needs.”

The Digital Health Lab complements Fusion Growth Labs’ broader portfolio across sovereign priority sectors, including cybersecurity, defence, and space. Applications for participation are now open, with the formal announcement of the anchor hospital partnership later this month and the program to commence in January 2026.
